January 2010 marks the 37th anniversary of the Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion. In that time over 50,000,000 lives have ended through abortion. The loss of each of those young lives has affected many mothers, fathers, grandparents, doctors, nurses, friends and communities.

What better time than Sanctity of Human Life (SOHL) month to bring attention to the immeasurable value of each God-given human life. Sunday, January 24th has been designated as Sanctity of Human Life Sunday. Hope Pregnancy Centers Inc. would like to offer you and your congregation free of charge our 2010 SOHL bookmark (see example on the left). Use this bookmark as a bulletin insert during the month of January...to reflect on the value of each life and the tens of millions of precious lives lost to abortion. The message on this bookmark highlights the fact that life is initiated and created by our Almighty God and Father. Your congregation will be reminded that every life has a God-given, God-breathed beginning.

As you begin planning your celebration of human life for January, please remember to share the ministry of your local pregnancy care center with your congregation. You may encourage them to put their love into action by volunteering at one of the Hope Centers and by earnestly praying for Hope Pregnancy Centers.

Here are some ways that you can educate and involve your congregation regarding Sanctity of Human life issues and the ministry of Hope Pregnancy Centers:

• Insert our Free SOHL Bookmark inside of Sunday bulletins,
• Insert a Reproducible SOHL bulletin insert,
• Present a sermon regarding God’s perspective of human life,
• Take a Special Designated Offering for your local pregnancy center ministry,
• Allow a personal testimony or presentation from a Hope representative,
• Sponsor a baby shower or diaper drive for Hannah’s clothes closet,
• Spend time in prayer together for the ministry of Hope Pregnancy Centers and the over 3,000 clients that we serve annually.

Earlier this week, we were privileged to meet a special baby boy. We are in awe that he is with us today because his mom had originally planned and scheduled to abort him. When she saw the ultrasound image of her baby in our Hope Center she changed her mind.

Thank God for His provision through our ministry partners who enable us to help support women who choose life. HOPE’s impact would be greatly hindered without your continued participation and prayers. We are truly grateful for you.
